Poppy plays TV socialite... now there’s a stretch!

SHE made a fleeting appearance in Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur and Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle. But model Poppy Delevingne, who has complained that her characters in film keep ‘dying in the first ten minutes’, has reasons to be cheerful.

Producer Kris Thykier, the man behind Sky series, Riviera, claims her starring role in the second series will be her big break.

‘She’s sensational,’ he tells me at a party in Mayfair. ‘This is the one. We needed someone who was a British socialite who would fit within the Riviera world. She’s surpassed all of our expectations. She’s going to be a big star.’
