PLAYER STRIKE IS ‘THREAT’ TO BOLTON SALE
BOLTON players have been warned the club could go into administration after they went on strike over unpaid staff wages. The Championship club were due to pay players and staff on Friday. However, despite claims from chairman Ken Anderson on Wednesday that Bolton would be sold within 48 hours, no deal went through. The players are refusing to train for two days. But a source from the playing squad told Sportsmail that Anderson has warned the players to reconsider, or he could be forced to put the club into administration. Anderson believes the strike could put off a potential buyer.
