HUDDERSFIELD CHIEF’S BACKING FOR SIEWERT
HUDDERSFIELD TOWN owner Dean Hoyle says Jan Siewert will be in charge to plot a Premier League return next season. Siewert has lost eight of his nine games following David Wagner’s resignation in January, with relegation to the Championship confirmed on Saturday. But Hoyle said: ‘Jan came in at a difficult time and he would be the first to tell you that he’s not happy with the results. ‘But he has made a big impact. The board are fully behind him as the man to take us forward.’ A number of senior players have been left out by the German, who has picked those he believes will make an impact next season. Jonas Lossl, Philip Billing and Mathias Jorgensen did not feature in the defeat at Crystal Palace on Saturday after speaking about their futures while away playing for Denmark.
