Blaine accused of sex assaults

MaGiciaN David Blaine is being investigated over sexual assault allegations.

Reports in the US said police in New York had taken statements from two women accusing the 46-year- old, right, of sexual assault.

One of the alleged victims claimed she was attacked by Blaine inside his Manhattan apartment in 1998. a former model, Natasha Prince, had previously claimed that Blaine raped her in London in 2004. Scotland Yard detectives later investigated the allegation but declined to take further action.

The new claims – which Blaine denies – come just two months before he is due to begin a tour of the UK. The magician is known for stunts like being buried underground for seven days without food or water in 1999. He also stayed in a plexiglass case suspended above the Thames for more than 40 days in 2003.
