Robinson is spared ban by YouTube
GOOGLE faced fresh accusations that it is fuelling hate after refusing to delete Tommy Robinson’s YouTube channel.
The web giant has put the videos of the English Defence League founder behind a warning screen and banned the far-Right fanatic from livestreaming on the platform. However, it stopped short of removing the material altogether.
Eoin Dubsky, of the liberal lobby group SumOfUs, said the decision showed Google was not doing enough to tackle ‘insidious hate speech’.
Google said it was applying ‘tougher treatment to Robinson’s channel in keeping with policies on borderline content’.
Users can still access the content by clicking through the warning screen.
