Camera jammer lands man in jail
A FERRARI car salesman has been jailed for fitting a laser jammer to his company car to avoid being caught speeding.
Nicholas Burke, 4 , from York, was jailed for two months at York Crown Court yesterday after admitting perverting the course of justice.
Burke, who resigned from his job at a Ferrari dealership in Leeds, was driving along a rural road near York when the incident happened in February last year.
Police believe his BMW 335D was travelling over the 0mph speed limit.
The jammer prevented a reading from being taken, but a code on the safety camera was activated to indicate an illegal device was being used.
