SAJID Javid has been dubbed ‘Sajid Chavid’ by leadership rivals, it was claimed last night.

The nickname – based on the insult ‘chav’ – is thought to come from the Home Secretary’s working-class background and his admission he had never seen an opera, The Spectator said.

Other ministers given critical monikers by MPs include ‘Freakyboots’ Michael Gove, ‘Pure Plasticine’ Jeremy Hunt and ‘Leaden Lump’ Chris Grayling.
