£600k lottery ticket found one year on

A COUPLE have claimed a £600,000 jackpot with just days to spare after finding a lottery ticket tucked inside a book.

Nicole Pedneault and Roger Larocque only realised last weekend that they had a winning ticket from a draw on April 5, 2018. The deadline for claims was set to pass today.

Miss Pedneault, of Quebec, Canada, found the ticket inside a book about Japan which she was looking through to help her grandson with a school project. ‘It’s all just by chance that we found it at the last minute like that,’ said Miss Pedneault as she claimed her cheque.
