Patrick Gibson, in Lynn nottage’s stunning play sweat, which transfers from the Donmar Warehouse to the Gielgud theatre for 50 performances from June 7. Gibson was in the original London company with Martha Plimpton, Leanne best, osy ikhile, Wil Johnson, stuart McQuarrie, sule rimi and sebastian Viveros (who are all moving to the West End production, too). clare Perkins joins from the superb Emilia, whose producers are allowing her to leave early to join sweat. LAURIE KYNASTON, who is a revelation as troubled title character Nicolas in Florian Zeller’s The Son, playing its final performances at the Kiln Theatre tomorrow. Michael Longhurst’s sleek production is beautifully performed by Amanda Abbington and John Light as Nicolas’s parents and Amaka Okafor as his stepmum.
