A growing problem

WITH record numbers of children suffering severe cannabis-related disorders, you might expect the police to be clamping down hard on those who grow this pernicious drug.

Yet arrests for cannabis production in our second largest force area, the West Midlands, have halved over the last decade. Perhaps chief constables need reminding that their job is to uphold the law – not help criminals to subvert it.
