49 and have been with my husband a long time. We have two daughters, aged 18 and 21. The problem is our sex life.
When we first met, in our late 20s, we had a passionate relationship and made love several times a week. But things changed. We both let ourselves go a bit, especially in the weight department. We’re just like friends. The spark has gone. On the rare occasions when we’ve tried to have sex, my husband hasn’t been able to perform.
I suggested he see a doctor, but he refused. Then, last year, he told me to drop it. I was shocked. I couldn’t bear the idea of never having sex again.
I’m ashamed to say I started sleeping with a man I met online. It’s just sex; there’s nothing emotional. But I feel so guilty. I want my marriage to work, but can’t go on the way it is. What should I do?
