1. DUSTIN JOHNSON
Age: 34. Majors: 2016 US Open. Masters record: Top 10 in last three appearances. Form guide: Two wins already this season. Verdict: All down to his putting. If it’s good, look out.
2. JUSTIN ROSE
Age: 38. Majors: 2013 US Open. Masters record: Runner-up twice in last three years. Form guide: Won in San Diego in January. Verdict: Might never have a better chance.
3. RORY McILROY
Age: 29. Majors: 2011 US Open, 2012 US PGA, 2014 Open & US PGA. Masters record: Five top 10s in a row.
Form guide: A win and six other top 10s in seven outings. Verdict: In the form of his life.
4. BROOKS KOEPKA
Age: 28. Majors: 2017 US Open, 2018 US Open & USPGA. Masters record: Fourth appearance. No top 10s. Form guide: Terrible over the last month. Verdict: Not this year.
5. JUSTIN THOMAS
Age: 25. Majors: 2017 US PGA. Masters record: No impression in three appearances. Form guide: Out of sorts over the last month. Verdict: No green jacket on this occasion.
6. BRYSON DECHAMBEAU
Age: 25. Majors: None. Masters record: Top 40 on debut last year.
Form guide: Brilliant in January, rubbish since then. Verdict: Needs more experience.
7. FRANCESCO MOLINARI

8. RICKIE FOWLER

Age: 24. Majors: None. Masters record: Fourth in second outing last year. Form guide: Bombed out in final round of Players when leading. Verdict: Worth a bet.

Age: 25. Majors: None. Masters record: Struggled on his debut last year. Form guide: Lost his way since winning the season-opener. Verdict: Will win majors — just not this one.
