Screen addicts

-

I aM heartened that Prince Harry is highlighting the insidious, addictive nature of computer games (Mail).

I have seen at first hand how children’s fascination with such games has a negative impact on the whole family. at the weekend, some teenagers spend all day sitting in front of their computer.

Surely the makers of these games could build in cut-out times, forcing the child to have breaks.

We all agree social media can be addictive and curbs must be put in place to protect the vulnerable, but gaming is just as dangerous, putting children at risk of obesity, bullying and stunted mental development. SHEILA HARDING, Benllech, Anglesey. PRINCe HaRRY blasted social media and computer games in the same week that he launched an Instagram account with his wife that attracted a million followers in record-breaking time. Surely this is one more thing that will keep people glued to their screens.
