THE growing popularity of so- called ‘ smart home’ devices, which allow customers to control their lights or heating with their voice or mobile phone, has caused Lightwave RF to rocket.

Sales of its devices, which can be bought through retailers such as Apple and Currys, have more than doubled in the six months to March 31.

Revenue over that period hit £2.5m, which is already 90pc of the total revenue Lightwave made last year. Shares were up 10pc, or 0.75p, to 8.25p.
