Teens held after boy’s ‘drug’ death
A TEENAGE girl and two young men were arrested for alleged drug offences after a boy, aged 14, died.
Alexander Buchan, pictured, collapsed at a house in Holbeach, Lincolnshire, early on Saturday morning and was pronounced dead soon after by paramedics. A girl of 15 and two men, both aged 19, were arrested in connection with ‘drugrelated offences’ as rumours in the town circulated that Alexander had taken Ecstasy. The three teenagers were released on bail.
A cause of death has not been confirmed as police inquiries continue.
The boy’s father, also called Alexander, said: ‘All we have been told is that they found a pill in his pocket ... It is a parent’s worst nightmare.’ Alex’s family have set up an online fundraising page for his funeral.
