What DID make Theresa and Angela giggle?

THERESA May and Angela Merkel have had plenty of bouts of the blues over the tortuous Brexit process in the past couple of years.

But yesterday they saw a lighter side as they chose matching blue outfits for the EU summit. An unusually chirpy Mrs May wore a blue skirt and jacket – while the German Chancellor donned a blue coat.

They burst into laughter as Mrs Merkel got out her iPad. Sources later revealed they were amused by an online article showing the pair wearing the jackets as they took questions earlier in the day at their respective parliaments.

EU Council chief Donald Tusk – who has consistently made the UK feel blue with his hard line on Brexit – joined in the light-hearted banter after asking to see the image.
