Les Mis Lily goes goth with purple lippy. . .

LILY COLLINS, who played tragic Fantine in BBC One’s recent adaptation of Les Miserables, chose a gothic look as she stepped out in New York this week.

The 30-year-old, who is the daughter of Eighties pop star Phil Collins and his American second wife Jill Tavelman, opted for a dark shade of purple lipstick (right). She matched it with a bespoke sequined dress by Italian designer Elisabetta Franchi.

When Lily was filming Les Mis, she sent her mother a photo of Fantine at her lowest ebb. ‘Mum was like: “No one should see their daughter like this.” ’
