PILGRIMAGE: THE ROAD TO ROME, 9PM, BBC2

IT FEELS as if we’re getting to know the celebs a bit as they tramp south on the second leg of their long walk along the road to enlightenment — there’s a touching moment, for instance, when retired athlete Greg Rutherford tearily wonders just what he’s going to do with the rest of his life. However, only a few of the group — including Dana and Les Dennis (pictured) — choose to undergo a blessing before the final 100km, which is a pity, as it soon becomes apparent that they need all the help, divine or otherwise, that’s available. They manage to get lost twice within just the first few miles . . .
