THE Swiss forward scored twice against Manchester United as a substitute in December and was rewarded with starts in Liverpool’s next two games. But since Christmas the £13million buy from relegated Stoke, who looked to be one of the signings of the season, has played just two and a half hours of Premier League football in three and a half months. Very odd.

THE MASTERS

IT will no doubt thrill us this weekend but the players will make us wait first. Out in the final group on day one, Paul Casey (right) and Brooks Koepka faced a wait of a quarter of an hour on the 15th tee. By that time they had already been on the course for four hours and 20 minutes. How is this still happening?

JESSIKA PONCHET

IN recovering from a 0-6, 0-5 and 30-40 scoreline to win an ITF World Tour event in Sunderland, British No 9 Tara Moore spoke of the boost it will hopefully give her career. It’s hard not to flip it round and wonder just what it will do to Ponchet (above). To make things worse, Moore beat her in the doubles the next day too.
