LANDO GETS A LUCKY LANDING
LANDO NORRIS was left staring at the sky as his McLaren went airborne on the sixth corner. The 19-year-old Briton was hit by Daniil Kvyat’s Toro Rosso, rendering Norris helpless at 80mph. ‘It felt like a big smash,’ Norris said. ‘I was flying. I kept both hands on the wheel and prepared for the landing. I was a passenger. I had to wait and hope for the best.’ Thankfully, Norris landed the right way up. Kvyat got a drivethrough penalty for causing the crash. Norris retired three laps from the finish.
