WOODS’ LONG ROAD TO REDEMPTION

NOVEMBER 2009: National Enquirer reveals Woods has been a serial cheat to wife Elin, including with prostitutes. Woods is arrested having lost control of his car at home, hitting a hedge, fire hydrant and a tree with Elin supposedly using a golf club to smash up his vehicle. DECEMBER 2009: Several other women claim to have had flings, including a porn actress, a pancake house waitress and a Las Vegas club promoter. He announces an indefinite break and books himself into a sex clinic. JUNE 2013: Has elbow surgery but recovers and picks up five wins as well as going back to world No 1. MARCH 2014: Has back surgery and misses the Masters with the suggestion he will never play golf again. OCTOBER 2015: Another back op rules him out for a year. MAY 2017: Arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. SEPTEMBER 2018: Wins his 80th PGA Tour title at the Tour Championships. YESTERDAY: Wins the Masters.
