Two toddlers orphaned in horror crash

TWO toddlers have been orphaned after their parents’ car was hit by a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road.

marko Godla and his wife Yanna Kockova (pictured), both 22, and her brother Tomas Kocko died in the high-speed collision. Police said that the other vehicle had gone the wrong way down a slip road on to the A1139 dual carriageway near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, in the early hours of Sunday.

The dead couple’s children – rachael, one, and two-year-old nela – are said to be being looked after by relatives. mr Godla’s immediate family live in Peterborough, while the extended family are in Slovakia.

The driver of the other car is in a critical condition in hospital. He has been arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drink or drugs and of causing death by dangerous driving.
