Charles and a new royal link to the spirit world

-

QUEEN Victoria was said to have attended séances to try to get in touch with her late, beloved husband, Prince Albert.

And now Prince Charles’s Scottish stately home is helping those who want to make contact with dead loved ones.

Dumfries House — which the heir to the throne ‘saved for the nation’ in a £45 million deal in 2007 — has placed an advertisement on its Facebook page for the New Cumnock Spiritual Sanctuary nearby.

‘Do you feel lost or alone; are you missing someone who has now passed over; are you finding it difficult to adjust to your life without your loved ones? Then we are here for you,’ the advert says. ‘By coming along, you could get a message from your loved one.’

It adds: ‘We have a healing/meditation circle that will help you to feel better and more in tune with your surroundings.’

Charles’s charity, the Prince’s Foundation, led the ‘rejuvenation’ of New Cumnock Town Hall, where the spiritual sanctuary is held.

While Dumfries House has not yet held a seance that we know about, the Ayrshire mansion does have a new alternative health centre in its grounds. In a bid to take pressure off the NHS, Charles set up the multimillionpound clinic, which he officially opened in January.

Last week, Health Secretary and wannabe prime minister Matt Hancock made the 800-mile round trip from Westminster to hold talks with Charles, so no doubt he was given a tour of the Dumfries House Health and Wellbeing Centre on his visit.

Will Charles persuade Hancock — whose, wife, Martha, is an osteopath — to open similar alternative health centres elsewhere in the country?

Nicknamed the ‘Royal NHS’, the clinic gives free treatment to patients with conditions such as chronic pain, diabetes, anxiety, infertility and the side- effects of menopause. It also offers a wide range of complementary therapies, including reflexology and hypnotherapy.

And how long will it be before it also offers seances?
