WATFORD captain Troy Deeney can have no complaints about his red card. His forearm into the face of midfielder Lucas Torreira was pre-meditated and caught him at speed, clearly endangering his opponent’s safety. Referee Craig Pawson would have seen the deliberate movement of Deeney’s arm and was correct in sending him off. Deeney will receive a three-match ban and any appeal has little chance of success.
