Frank about drugs

-

TRAGICALLY, a 13-year-old boy has died after taking ecstasy (Mail).

The Government should be making every effort to publicise the dangers posed by this drug, especially to children. It is much too often fatal.

Instead, on the Government’s revamped Talk to Frank website it gives ‘harm reduction’ advice about how to dabble in this banned drug.

Acceptance of drug- taking by young people as a normal event by giving tips for ‘safer use’ could be regarded as aiding and abetting a criminal offence. Ecstasy is a random killer. Prevention, which has been shown to work, must be the aim.
