GUARDIOLA CALLS FOR RAUCOUS ATMOSPHERE

PEP GUARDIOLA is ‘curious’ to what extent City’s fans will back his team as they gun for Champions League glory tonight. The City supporters have an ambivalent attitude to the competition — there were still home tickets on sale yesterday afternoon — but Guardiola called for a raucous atmosphere at the Etihad. ‘I’m really curious to how our fans are going to react tomorrow.’ Guardiola said. ‘If they don’t help us it is... do it for the guys. ‘They are human beings, they will have bad moments in the games and at that moment we need our supporters. At this stage, without supporters, we cannot go through. ‘We need it. Every time I played away in this competition the atmosphere was incredible. ‘Really, we need it. I want to see our fans, that they really want the semi-finals.’
