CONSUMER health firm Venture Life, which makes products such as mouthwashe­s, saw revenues surge by 17pc to £18.8m last year.

It swung from a £0.4m loss to a £0.4m profit after tax, and signed 16 internatio­nal agreements adding 11 partners to its books. Chief executive Jerry Randall said 2018 was a transforma­tional year, as it reorganise­d its manufactur­ing. It now has the capacity to almost double last year’s production.

Shares climbed 14.1pc, or 5.5p, to 44.5p.
