NEIL WARNOCK

THE veteran has done well to put Cardiff in touch with the pack at the bottom of the Premier League but there is a growing feeling the club may part company with the 70-year-old at the end of the season, whatever happens. Some relationships are not built to last.

CHRIS HUGHTON

THE Brighton manager has problems after his team were beaten by Cardiff in midweek. Since an early win over Manchester United, Brighton’s season has been built around the ability to take points off clubs at their own level. Four of their nine wins have come against Huddersfield and Crystal Palace, for example, while Newcastle and West Ham have also been beaten. The worry is that three of their last five games are against Tottenham, Arsenal and Man City.

HANDBALL

DID THE ball strike the arm of Fernando Llorente as he scored the decisive goal for Tottenham at Manchester City? Who knows? Would it have constituted handball anyway, given his hand was virtually glued to his own side? Who knows? Hands up if you understand the rule anymore? No, thought not.
