THE actress Sophie Turner’s depiction of Sansa Stark in Game Of Thrones is such a great role model for young women who may not always feel self-confident.
So I was shocked at her revelation that she was so distressed by cruel internet trolls that she used to ‘think of suicide a lot’ (Mail).
Sophie appears to be a highly sensitive soul, making her an easy target for those jealous of her fame. She should celebrate her innate dignity and quiet strength, and not be ashamed of her sensitivity.
Her caring, compassionate attitude is demonstrated by the fact she adopted the dog that played her character’s direwolf in Game Of Thrones.
Hold your head up high, Sophie, and be proud of who you are. We need more female TV role models like you, combining power and gentleness.
