WARNOCK: SALAH DIVES LIKE TOM DALEY
NEIL WARNOCK branded Mohamed Salah a diver after the forward won a disputed penalty as Liverpool moved back to the top of the table. Salah was brought down by Sean Morrison in the 80th minute of a game Liverpool won 2-0. The Cardiff defender wrapped his arms around the Egyptian but Salah’s fall seemed to be exaggerated. Warnock was incensed and likened Salah to Team GB star Tom Daley. ‘I thought it was a soft one,’ said Warnock, whose side remain in the bottom three. ‘We gave Salah an opportunity, didn’t we? Morrison’s got his arms round him. The end of it was a 9.9 Tom Daley job. I don’t think he could have got much higher off the diving board. ‘You’ll be saying Warnock is a moaning so-and-so again, but just after half-time, the tug on Morrison’s shirt should have been spotted. He’s been pulled from pillar to post and we’ve not had a penalty, so we’re not going to start getting them now. ‘Jurgen Klopp should do a job swap with me. Liverpool are doing so well, I could have a go and he comes down here and see how he gets on.’
