Two thirds of mothers struggling with the to-do list

- Daily Mail Reporter

MORE than two thirds of mothers are struggling to stay on top of their busy lives, according to research.

Some 6 per cent of those with children aged 16 or under said they find it hard to juggle everything they need to.

And 84 per cent have even battled on with their routine while unwell, because they ‘didn’t feel they had time to be ill’. More than half have been so ill they have feared they needed medical attention, but didn’t go to the doctor because they were ‘too busy’.

Tan Kaur, from Well Pharmacy which commissioned the research, said: ‘I have often heard my customers say that even the simplest tasks can prove difficult when you have children.

‘Especially those with babies or toddlers, who can sometimes find hours mysteriously vanish when trying to do something like leave the house.’ The poll of 2,000 mothers also found that three-quarters said they find it ‘hard to believe’ how hectic their lives have become as a parent.

The study also found that women with children are normally roused from their sleep at 6.35am, with eight in ten finding themselves exhausted by the time they finally go to bed at just .43pm.
