It’s not just her r ability to hold the e stage, or summon politicians to her will. It’s the fact t that, unlike 99 per cent of the 16-year-olds I know, she seems to have no interest whatsoever in becoming the next Kim Kardashian. It’s so refreshing to see a girl who looks and dresses like a girl instead of an off-duty pole dancer.

Regardless of whether or not you agree with her on climate change, if she can also inspire other girls to be less worried about their appearance, that will, in my book, make her a true hero.
