Mining director killed
A NON- EXECUTIVE director at oil and gas explorer Amerisur Resources has died in an avalanche while skiing in the Rocky Mountains.
Dana Coffield, 60, was hailed by the South America-focused company for his ‘significant contribution’ since he joined the business in April 2017.
AIM-listed Amerisur did not say precisely when or where Coffield, who was Canadian, died.
Three professional climbers were killed in an avalanche in the Canadian Rockies last week.
The married father, a trained geologist, was also chief executive of the oil and gas firm Corvus Resources for three years from 2016.
