FEVER-TREE BOSS RAISES GLASS TO £4m WINDFALL

-

BOSSES at the drinks mixer firm Fever-Tree netted a £5.9m payday as it cashed in on booming demand for gin.

Chief executive Tim Warrillow ( pictured) and finance director Andrew Branchflower saw their combined pay packages treble last year.

Warrillow, 44, who co-founded Fever-Tree in 2005, was paid almost £4m compared with £844,000 a year earlier thanks to nearly £3.1m from a long-term incentive plan.

The remainder of his pay was made up of a £552,000 bonus, £368,000 salary and £2,000 in benefits. Branchflower, 39, pocketed £1.9m, up from £540,000 in 2017. He also benefited from the same incentive plan, bagging him £1.3m.

The rest of his pay package consisted of a £354,000 bonus and a £236,000 salary.

Since listing at 134p each in 2014, shares in the company have gone through the roof. The stock was down 0.7pc last night but was still worth 3097p, valuing Fever-Tree at £3.5bn.

Warrillow has a 4.7pc holding in the firm, worth £169m.
