ROY ADDS TO WORLD CUP WORRIES

-

ENGLAND opener Jason Roy limped off for Surrey just five weeks before the start of the World Cup. Roy went off with a back spasm in a Royal london One-Day Cup game against Essex at the Oval. He returned later to hit an unbeaten 35 from 23 balls but did not field. England, already without Alex Hales for personal reasons and with injury doubts over Tom Curran, Mark Wood and Ben Stokes, begin a three-day training camp in Cardiff on Saturday. They must name their final World Cup squad by May 22, eight days before the opener against South Africa.
