TSB’S fraud guarantee has been applauded, with the bank dubbed a consumer champion. Is it a coinci-dence it’s been launched a year after TSB’s monumental IT meltdown?

Who will be footing the bill? The bank’s customers and its staff. TSB has announced cutbacks across the country, with some branches closing and many more reducing their hours to just one day a week.

We were promised a shiny new IT platform to make everything better for staff and customers. But a year on from the IT issues, customers can’t take out a loan or a credit card online or view mortgage statements.

I’d rather have a local branch with staff keeping their jobs. I’ll trust myself not to give out my details to fraudsters and scammers.
