Don’t pick on Pointless
FORMER BBC boss Roger Mosey has hit out at the broadcaster’s reliance on ‘tired’ quizzes, ‘lowbrow’ comedies and cookery shows (Mail).
Does he not realise that most people watch TV to be entertained, not to sit through hard-hitting news programmes? We can listen to those on Radio 4.
The teatime quiz show Pointless is fun, as we can all have a go at getting lower scores than the contestants.
If Mr Mosey would like a suggestion for improving the Beeb, I would suggest more documentaries and travel programmes before 9pm.
