Pay up for chaos
FOOTBALL clubs are expected to foot the bill for the policing of matches, so why isn’t the Met sending a demand to Extinction Rebellion for their week of fun and frolics on London’s streets?
I am sure Dame Emma Thompson would be only too happy to contribute to such a good cause.
After all, why should those who were not able to join in because they were too busy working have to pay?
And in the spirit of love and harmony, why don’t the protesters compensate all those companies who lost business as a result of all the chaos?
However, I expect such mundane matters are not worth consideration by eco warriors in their pursuit of higher ideals. SALLY BUTLER, Rustington, W. Sussex.
