Mother trolled by ‘anti-vaxxers’

A MOTHER who highlighted her daughter’s battle with measles was trolled online.

Jilly Moss, 34, was urged by doctors to share photographs of baby Alba in hospital to raise awareness of the disease.

‘It was absolutely horrific watching our daughter fight this with her eyes swollen shut for four days,’ said Mrs Moss from south London. Alba, pictured, who turned one on April 1, was too young to receive the MMR vaccination. Her mother’s post has since been shared more than 90,000 times but has also led to abuse.

She said: ‘There’s a lot of anti-vaxxers. I’ve been accused of being an actress, sent messages saying Alba is a doll, asked if we’ve been paid to do it and accused of faking the whole thing. My message to them is they need to educate themselves – the vaccine is there for a reason.’
