$1 TRILLION MICROSOFT

MICROSOFT has become the latest tech giant to reach a valuation of $1trillion.

It is the third public company to pass the symbolic milestone after Apple in August and Amazon a month later.

But the companies have been unable to hang on to the astronomical achievement for long, with Microsoft only briefly passing the mark yesterday before dipping below it again.

Last night all three were valued just shy of $1trillion, with Microsoft at £769bn, Apple at £753bn and Amazon at £729bn.
