...AND THE KIDS FROM ANFIELD TAKE OUT CITY
LIVERPOOL lifted the FA Youth Cup for the first time since 2007 on a night of drama at Manchester City. A mistake by City goalkeeper Louie Moulden sent the final to extra-time and Paul Glatzel’s winning penalty in the shootout sparked joyous scenes. City were four minutes from victory but Moulden completely misjudged a long-range effort from Bobby Duncan — whose cousin is Steven Gerrard — allowing the shot to fly through his fingers. S Spanish striker Nabil Touaizi had given C City the lead seconds before the break and Gareth Taylor’s side looked like they would cling on until Moulden’s unfortunate gaffe. City’s Cole Palmer struck the bar in the p penalty shootout, allowing Liverpool’s G German striker Glatzel to smash past Moulden. City boss Pep Guardiola was watching with his son Marius and coaches Mikel Arteta and Rodolfo Borrell.
