Bomb brother’s extradition halted

THE extradition of the brother of Manchester Arena bomber Salman Abedi to face justice in Britain has been set back indefinately by fresh fighting in Libya.

Minister Fathi Bashagha said plans to send Hashem Abedi, 21, to the UK to stand trial for alleged murder and other charges had been put on hold ‘until the conflict is over’.

British-born Hashem Abedi is alleged to have helped buy materials for the Manchester bomb, which killed 22 at an Ariana Grande concert in May 2017.
