Trump: I’m so young I can’t believe it

-

DONALD Trump – who will turn 73 in June – yesterday declared himself a ‘young, vibrant man’.

The US President was casting doubts on the vitality of his Democrat rival Joe Biden, who is 76.

He was asked about what the maximum age should be for a president. ‘I’m the youngest person,’ he replied. ‘I am a young, vibrant man. I’m so young I can’t believe it. I look at Joe, I don’t know about him.’ His remarks came a day after Mr Biden announced he will run for the Democratic nomination for the 2020 race for the White House. He is currently seen as the man most likely to unseat Republican Mr Trump.

Though Mr Trump is the oldest man to be elected President, he is younger than both Mr Biden and Bernie Sanders, 77, the senator who is second in the polling for the Democratic nomination. Ronald Reagan was 69 when he was first elected in 1981 and nearly 74 when re-elected in 1984.

Despite Mr Trump’s assertions of youthful vigour, the junk food fan has a weight problem. He is 17st 5lbs and 6ft3in tall – leaving him with a BMI of 30.4, which is classed as mildly obese.
