Heathrow blaze drama

A HUGE fire at an old coal depot in West London caused major disruption for trains going to and from Heathrow yesterday.

Seventy firemen tackled the blaze at the depot three miles north of the airport in West Drayton.

Witnesses reported hearing multiple explosions just after 2pm, with smoke filling the sky.

A container, an industrial conveyor belt, 15 vans and three lorries were alight.

Heathrow Express trains were halted for two hours. Great Western services from Paddington to Reading were also affected.
