WITH an Oscar win and now a starring role in the next Bond film, Rami Malek has had quite the year.

So it’s no wonder the 37-year-old had a lot to smile about as he went shopping in New York with girlfriend Lucy Boynton.

He rose to fame playing Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody – winning the Oscar for Best Actor and meeting Miss Boynton, who starred as the Queen singer’s girlfriend Mary Austin, on set.

They looked every inch the hot Hollywood couple as they wandered around Manhattan – just hours after he was announced as the next Bond villain.

The British-American actress, 25, wore a buttoned-up coral mac and spotted black tights, completing her look with a pair of leather pointed-toe brogues and a brightly patterned bag.

Meanwhile, Malek opted for a long, grey jacket, straight leg blue jeans and a pair of chunky leather boots.

Appearing via videolink as the rest of the Bond cast gave interviews in Jamaica last week, the actor said: ‘I’m not jealous one bit. No, not at all. I’m stuck here in New York in production, but I am very much looking forward to joining the whole cast and crew so very soon.’

He added: ‘I promise you all I will be making sure Mr Bond does not have an easy ride of it in this, his 25th outing.’

Also joining the cast are Dali Benssalah, Lashana Lynch, Ana de Armas, David Dencik and Billy Magnussen, while Daniel Craig will star as 007 for the last time. The film’s title is yet to be announced.
