- By LAURIE WHITWELL at the King Power Stadium

UNAI EMERY made the astonishing claim that Arsenal ‘performed well’ and expressed pride despite his team slumping to a third defeat in eight days, losing 3-0 at Leicester, to dent hopes of a top-four finish. ‘The players worked very well and I am proud of them,’ Emery said. ‘We prepared our game plan, 11 v 11, the match was going like we prepared.’ Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles was sent off in the 36th minute with the scores 0-0. ‘Today the condition for losing is the red card,’ said Emery.
