Sorrell’s £13m pay cut

SIR Martin Sorrell has taken a massive £13.8m pay cut in his first year since leaving WPP, as figures revealed his new firm is dominated by male staff.

The marketing mogul, who stepped down from advertising group WPP last year amid allegations – which he denies – that he used company money to pay a prostitute, pocketed £140,000 from S4 Capital between May and December 2018. he earned £13.9m in 2017, his last full year as chief executive of WPP.

The figures were revealed in S4’s annual report, which also exposed a lack of gender diversity among its top ranks. Of the ten company directors only one is female, and just 36 of the 127 senior executives are women.
