May ‘most evasive PM’

THERESA May’s apparent inability to directly answer questions has been confirmed by a new study showing she is the most evasive Tory Prime Minister of the last 30 years.

Mrs May gave explicit answers to 7 per cent of questions in the 017 election campaign. Margaret Thatcher and John Major gave a direct answer to an average of 46 per cent of questions.

David Cameron’s average was 38 per cent in the 015 campaign, researchers at the Universities of York and Salford found.
