INHERITANCE tax receipts rose by 44.4 pc in March compared to the previous month as families rush through paperwork before probate fees rise. Executors currently pay £215 to take control of an estate. But new changes mean some executors could soon pay as much as £6,000. The fee hike was supposed to come into effect last month but has been delayed.
