Voice checks

SANTANDER telephone banking customers can now use their voice to verify their identity rather than a security number. The so-called Phone ID technology will analyse more than 100 characteristics of their voice to ensure it is genuine. HSBC already uses similar technology which it says has prevented more than £300 million of fraud.
